Product Description:

Microsemi (acquired Symmetricom) offers the SA.45s chip-scale atomic clock, with low power consumption (<120mW) and a compact size of <17cc (40.6mm*35.5mm*11.4mm). It features excellent characteristics such as a 120-second fast start and 1PPS lock.
 
The SA.45s chip provides standard CMOS level outputs of 10MHz and 1PPS signals. It offers a short-term stability (Allan variance) of 2.5E-10@1s and an aging rate of 3E-10 per month. The temperature characteristics range from 5E-10 (-10℃ to +70℃), and there are also options available for wide temperature ranges (-40℃ to +85℃).
 
The SA.45s supports synchronization of its 1PPS output to an external reference clock's 1PPS, achieving an accuracy of ±100ns. The 1PPS input can also be used to lock its 1PPS and frequency outputs to levels as precise as 1ns and 1.0E-12, respectively.
 
The SA.45s comes with a standard RS-232 serial interface at CMOS levels, enabling control and calibration of the device. It also provides a range of status monitoring capabilities and allows for reading the internal clock time information (TOD) of the SA.45s.
 
Notably, the SA.45s supports operating in an ultra-low power mode where its physical package is temporarily turned off, resembling the state of a free-running TCXO. The physical package periodically starts and relocks the TCXO. In this mode, the average power consumption is as low as <50mW.
